Call for Scholarly Papers - Annual Meeting

To encourage and recognize excellent legal scholarship and to broaden participation by new law teachers in the Annual Meeting program, the association sponsored a call for papers for the 38th annual AALS Scholarly Papers Competition. Those who will have been full-time law teachers at an AALS member or fee-paid school for five years or less on July 1, 2022, were invited to submit a paper on a topic related to or concerning law by August 4, 2022. A committee of established scholars reviewed the submitted papers with the authors’ identities concealed.

Submissions are now closed.

Papers that make a substantial contribution to legal literature will be selected for recognition at the 2023 AALS Annual Meeting.
