Relocation – The Annual Meeting will be held at the Moscone Center

Due to an ongoing strike at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square and the Parc 55 San Francisco, the 2025 Annual Meeting has been moved to an alternate location. We are now working with the Moscone Center and the nearby Hotel Nikko to host all AALS Annual Meeting sessions and events that were previously scheduled at the Hilton and Parc 55. Existing Reservations

If you have already made hotel reservations at the Hilton or Parc 55, you are welcome to retain or cancel them according to your preference. We have been assured that the quality of service for hotel guests will not be affected. See below for more information about managing existing reservations and the cancellation policy for these two hotels.

New Reservations

We have secured a limited block of rooms at Hotel Nikko. See below for more information on booking. Attendees are also welcome to continue booking at the Hilton and Parc 55.

Note: These hotels are all situated within one block of one another, just a short, flat walk from the Moscone Center. Shuttles will provide transportation to and from the Moscone Center throughout the day via a centralized point near the three hotels.

The guest room rate per night is $149 single or double occupancy + taxes, with an additional $39 per day amenity fee.

New Reservations at the Hilton and Parc 55

To make a hotel reservation, you must first register for the meeting. Your confirmation email will include information about how to make a reservation via our housing partner, Maritz. Once you book your room, you will receive a confirmation email from Maritz within 72 hours.

Reservations must be processed by Maritz; do not book directly with the hotels. If you are having trouble with the booking system, contact [email protected]. AALS staff does not have access to the Maritz booking system and cannot assist you directly with this process.

Rates

The guest room rate per night for both hotels is $195 single or double occupancy + taxes.

  • $20 for each additional adult in the room.
  • Children staying in the same room with their parent(s) are free of charge in existing bedding. There is no charge for a crib. There is a $25 charge for a rollaway bed.

Changing or Cancelling Hotel Reservations at the Hilton and Parc 55

If you cancel by December 19: Cancel by contacting the housing service, Maritz, at [email protected] or using the reservation link provided in your confirmation email. You may cancel by these methods until 5pm Eastern on 12/19. Do not contact the hotel directly, as they do not have possession of the reservations until December 26.

Between December 20-25: Cancellations will be temporarily unavailable as Maritz transfers reservations to the hotels.

December 26 and beyond: Cancel by contacting the hotel directly. Call the Hilton (415-771-1400) or Parc 55 (415-392-8000).

Reservations may be cancelled by 6 pm on the scheduled arrival date with no charge or penalty. For cancels after 6 pm or failure to check in on the arrival date, one night’s room and tax will be charged to the credit card used to make the reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I never received my hotel instructional email?

First, check your spam folder. If you still can’t find it, email the Registration team to have a copy re-sent to you.

How can I request accessibility accommodations?

Indicate the accommodations needed in the section titled “Special Accommodations” when making your hotel reservation.

Is there a guarantee required for the hotel? If so, is it refundable?

A valid credit card with an expiration date of January 2025 or later is required to secure your room reservation. Credit cards will not be processed prior to your arrival.

How do I reserve a room if I’m sharing it with a colleague or bringing family members?

Designate one person to make the reservation. List all occupants when making the reservation, including children and their ages. Children under the age of 18 may stay free of charge in a parent’s room. There is an additional charge of $20 per person, per night for more than two adults (age 18+) sharing a room. You should notify the hotel at check-in if any of the guests in your room are under age 18 and exempt from the extra person charge.

Why did a third-party hotel company contact me?

Beware of housing pirates and poachers! Maritz is the only company that handles AALS Annual Meeting hotel reservations for the 2025 Annual Meeting. In the past, registrants have sometimes been contacted with offers for cut-rate housing from companies impersonating AALS or presenting themselves as an alternative to Maritz. These offers are not valid.

When AALS secures guest rooms at hotels for our Annual Meeting (commonly referred to as room blocks), we research the properties to make certain that our attendees will be adequately accommodated. The room block is established to ensure that guest rooms meet our standards and are offered at the discounted price.

Don’t be misled! If you are contacted by anyone trying to sell you a room for the Annual Meeting, please do not make a reservation or provide a method of payment. We ask that you get as much information as you can about the caller and pass it on to Mary Cullen, Associate Director of Meetings.
