Booking
To make a reservation, you must first register for the meeting. Reservations will be booked and processed by the AALS designated housing service, Maritz Global Events, and should not be booked directly with the hotels. Your registration confirmation email will contain more information. The cutoff date to make a hotel reservation is December 19, 2023.
Maritz Global Events will email a reservation acknowledgment within 72 hours of processing your reservation. Contact Maritz at [email protected] directly with any questions or technical difficulties. AALS staff does not have access to the online booking system and cannot assist you directly with this process.
Rates
The room rate per night at both hotels is $185 single or double occupancy + taxes.
- $20 for each additional adult in the room
- Children staying in the same room with their parent(s) are free of charge in existing bedding. There is no charge for a crib. There is a $25 charge for a rollaway bed.
Changes and Cancellations
Use the link, email address, or phone number provided in the hotel confirmation email from Maritz Global Events to make changes or cancel your reservation until 5 pm (EST) on December 19. For changes or cancellations after December 19, you must wait until December 26, when you can contact the hotel directly.
Reservations may be cancelled by 6 pm on scheduled arrival date with no charge or penalty. For cancels after 6 pm or failure to check in on the arrival date, one night’s room charge and tax will be charged to the credit card used to make the reservation.

Metro
Washington, DC’s public transportation system is Metro. The Metro stops nearest the Annual Meeting hotels are Mt. Vernon Square 7th St/Convention Center (Green and Yellow lines) and Gallery Place/Chinatown (Red, Yellow, and Green lines).
The closest airport is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). From National Airport, Metro’s Yellow line is a direct route to Gallery Place/Chinatown or Mt. Vernon Square 7th St/Convention Center. From Dulles International Airport, the newly-completed Silver line runs from the airport to the Metro Center stop, where it intersects with the Red line just one stop away from Gallery Place/Chinatown.
Amtrak/Train
Union Station connects many Amtrak and other commuter train systems with Washington, DC and Metro. The Red line provides easy access from Union Station to the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop.
