Registration - 2026 Annual Meeting

We’re excited to return to New Orleans! Join us for the 2026 AALS Annual Meeting, taking place in person from Tuesday, January 6 to Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside and Loews New Orleans Hotel.

We look forward to the energy and connection that come from gathering our community of law school faculty—through networking, relationship-building, and celebration in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana.

The registration rate includes: Four days of over 200 in-person sessions organized by Sections, the Annual Meeting Program Committee, and the AALS President; the Opening Plenary session with a keynote speaker; the classic Opening Reception; Exhibit Hall access; and morning and afternoon coffee breaks.

Payment

The AALS registration system accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We do not accept registration via email.

If you are required to register using a paper registration form, contact [email protected] to request one. Payments with this type of registration can be made by check or fax only.

Confirmation

You will receive an email confirming your online registration within a few minutes. If you register by paper form with a mailed check or fax payment, you will receive a confirmation email once your check has been received and your registration processed.

Spouse/Partner Registration

The spouse/partner registration rate is available only for guests who are not affiliated with a law school. Faculty, staff, retired/emeritus members, and law students are not eligible for this rate.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a meeting registration must be submitted in writing no later than December 16, 2025, to receive a full refund of the registration fee.

Requests received after December 16, 2025, as well as no-shows to the Annual Meeting, are not eligible for refunds, unless there are severe extenuating circumstances, such as the death or hospitalization of the registrant or an immediate family member.

Registration Substitutions

Registration substitutions are welcome. The person currently registered must send a written authorization asking to transfer their registration and must include the name of the person receiving the registration in their place. Requests may be sent via email to [email protected], fax to (202) 872-1829, or mail to AALS, 1614 20th St. NW, Washington, DC 20009. Requests must arrive at AALS by January 1, 2026.

What is Group Registration?

The “Register multiple people” button at the top of the page will bring you to Group Registration. In Group Registration, you can register:

  • A group of people from your law school, including yourself
  • A group of people from your law school, not including yourself
  • A single person from your law school, other than yourself
  • Yourself—but we’d recommend using Individual Registration instead.

Do you offer a one-day or per-session/event registration rate?

No, single-day or per-session registration rates or passes are not available. The registration fee provides access to the entire Annual Meeting.
